Economic Auto, a branch of UADH – Holding Automobile of the Loukil Group – and Distributor of the Japanese Mazda brand name in Tunisia, has started the commercialisation of the new Mazda2. Punchy, with a great character and eminently alluring, the new Mazda2 certainly stands out from amongst the others. Reactive and easy to drive in town as well as on the highway, it beautifully blends performance and low consumption, whilst at the same time displaying the latest technology and advanced connectivity.
An urban car full of character
The design of the new Mazda2 makes it stand out and attract attention. Its eye-catching style is based on the philosophy of a design which was already crowned with success, the KODO design “The soul of movement”. The fluid and taut lines of its vehicle body clearly show that it is a car full of character.
At the front it is noticeable especially due to its low dip headlights giving a piercing view and its emblematic grille as seen in the brand name’s vehicles. Having adopted a lighting concept with four LED lamps, together with a rounded visual signature, its headlights contribute towards enhancing the dynamic character of the front-end of the vehicle. At the back, the horizontal set of rear lights blend perfectly into the tailgate, thus displaying an immediately recognizable visual signature.
A top range interior
The interior of the new Mazda2 is surprisingly spacious. Mazda has managed to gain more space by optimizing the form of the dashboard, by making the seat backs thinner and by further refining the headrests. The designers have also managed to enhance the quality of the interior design’s finish which is both sporty and sophisticated.
Embedded connectivity: MZD Connect
The MZD Connect developed by Mazda makes it possible to interact with the smartphone. It is now possible to easily and securely have access to music and messages via compatible mobile phones in the comfort of the top grade vehicle interior of the new Mazda2.
The large 7″ colour tactile screen combined with the “Multimedia Commander” are designed to ensure easy control with a minimum effort so that the driver can concentrate his attention on the road.
SKYACTIV Technologies
The new Mazda2 incorporates all the SKYACTIV Technologies, disallowing any compromise in terms of performances and consumption.
Its SKYACTIV chassis stands out due to its excellent road-holding capability and stability. It guarantees optimal driveability as well as a feeling of power and smoothness.
The 1.5 Skyactiv engine offers a well-balanced combination of performance and sobriety which is ideal for driving in town and on the highway.

Three finishes upon launching
For the launching of the new Mazda2, the Economic Auto concessionaire offers its urban car in two Sedan and Hatchback body versions, both of each are equipped with the 1.5 Skyactiv 107 horsepower engine.
The Sedan or saloon version is proposed with a 6-speed manual transmission at 37.700 TD. It has, furthermore, automatic lights, a backup camera, 16-inch alloy rims, cruise control, climatronic, and a 7-inch colour tactile screen with a control knob.
The Hatchback or compact version is available in 2 versions, with a manual or automatic gearbox. The version with the manual gearbox is commercialized at 37.400 TD, and proposes the same equipment as the Sedan version.
The Hatchback version has a 6-speed automatic transmission and is commercialized at 42.500 TD. It offers LED headlights in addition to automatic daytime running lights, leather and cloth upholstery as well as a “Kit Colour Package”, not forgetting the “sport mode selector” for a more dynamic driving style.
